In 2016 alone, mHealth App Store downloads amounted to 3.2 billion. Health-related data is a valuable asset for individuals and stakeholders in sports, health and sports-based health industry data however, users who generate this data can not collect, share, and monetize it. Moreover, due to lack of means to connect existing data, the industry can not be opened full potential to profit all market players.

Each transaction block is stored in the ledger and is chronologically linked to another block after the transaction record is verified by the distributed peer-to-peer network. End-to-end encryption makes interactions such as storing, exchanging and viewing information possible without established trust between the parties.
Avoiding a central authority, blockchain relies on an anonymous network of participants that prevent privacy violations and confidentiality. Blockchain-based smart contracts represent contracts that can be fully executed when contract conditions are met. This system outlines the need for any exchange under the conditions of intermediary checking contracts To date, intermediaries play an important role in the exchange of value situations, thus earning revenue from their roles. The smart contract allows the end user to enter into a trusted relationship without any other authority. The sensitive nature of health-related data and the need to erase this personal data to comply with data protection regulations in some parts of the world (especially the European Union) does not allow the storage of this data itself on blockchain.
